About The Comic Compass

The Comic Compass lists graphic novels and comics collections that won, or were nominated for, the major comics prizes: the Eisner Awards' book categories, the Harvey Award for Book of the Year and the Hugo Award for Best Graphic Story or Comic.

We add something the official lists don't: who each book suits, from early readers to adults, and what it is about, so you can find the right one for yourself or someone else.

Where the information comes from

The lists of winners and nominees come from Wikipedia and are checked against the awarding bodies' own lists. Book details and covers come from Open Library. Ages and topics are our own judgment; if you think we got one wrong, tell us.

The Comic Compass is independent and is not connected with Comic-Con International, the Harvey Awards or the World Science Fiction Society.
